#ScOTD = Scripture of the Day…

October 4, 2012

As I was riding along on the bus this morning reading my scripture for the day, I turned to Ephesians 6…For some odd reason the last verse(24) hit me rather hard, and reminded me of the verses in Matthew 7 (21-23). *shrugs*…I started writing my thoughts out, and figured I’d share.
#ScOTD
Oh my heart’s desire is to follow you, yet each day I fall short; a sinful human yet I am. By your hand alone am I stayed from the vipers den, that my old man continually runs toward. Let not my desire to obey you be out of fear of pain, but of love, of submission, of brokenness, because of what you have done for your servant, who deserves only damnation. Praise and glory be to you alone, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

Ephesians 6:24 “Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.”

Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’”
